The yearbook is usually dedicated to
a faculty or staff individual who dedi-
cates their time and energy to the caw-
pus and to better the environment we
lire in. Their efforts are to be respected
always. But, as I was putting the 1993
yearbook together I noticed something
different. There's a group of people
that do more for our campus and the
environment we live in than any one
individual could ever do. These people
are the ones who run our Student Gov-
ernment Association, Program Board,
Spring Fling, Alcohol Beverage Com-
mittee, Alumni Recreation Center, The
Currier Times, WMLN, The Year-
book, and all of our clubs and organi-
zations. These people are you. The
Movers and Shakers of our campus. It
is you, the student. You are the one
who plans the activities we all attend
such as Comedy Nights, Coffee
Houses, and, of course, PUBS. You are
the one who keep us informed through
our bi-weekly newspaper. You are the
ones that make us Buffalo Wings and
pizza when we have the munchies late
at night. You are the ones who keep us
entertained with diverse programming
at our award winning radio station.
You are the student who cares about
the environment we live in and strive to
make it better. You are motivated stu-
dents who work hard in everything you
do, in class, and out. You hold a presti-
gious and valuable place on campus
that is to be appreciated by all of us.

On October 29th, the Thurs-
day before Halloween, students
invaded the Kennedy Gymnasi-
um in a wide assortment of at-
tire for Curry's Halloween
Dance. Students of all ages
came dressed in cloaks, paja-
mas, and karate outfits. There
were walking pumpkins,
ghouls, doctors, gypsies, bik-
ers, and even a male cheerlead-
er. Music, refreshments, and
dancing with masked strangers
were among the highlights of
the event.

Jack O'Laatern's full of can-
dy were awarded to the two best
costumes: Bridget Kocher, who
went as a colorful bag of jelly-
beans, and Marc Guttman, a
Grim Reaper with a very fancy
cloak and staff.

Families flocked to campus to join in activi-
ties for Curry Family Weekend, Saturday, Oc-
tober 13 - Sunday, November I, 1992.

Parents and students took advantage of the
new food service at the complimentary brunch
from 10 am - 12 pm. At the brunch, many
parents were able to meet with faculty before
the afternoon events.

At I pm, the Curry Colonels took on
Hartwick College, beating them 32-13.

At 12:30 as an alternative to football, there
was a trolley tour of Boston, a good option for <
either people from out of state, or natives of
Massachusetts.

Parents met with President Catherine Ingold I
at the President's Reception from 3:30 - 5:30^
pm. From there, many families went out to din- \
ner, wither out on the town or at the dinner held I
at the Hilton in Dedham Place.

From 9:00 pm - 12:00 am, families won big at «
Casino Night as the ARC was transformed into f
a casino.
